Childcare
A Childcare apprenticeship is designed for those who want to work with children under the age of 5 to help support their early development, learning and care in a school, nursery or playgroup.
Whilst each employer is different, one of the key aspects of an apprenticeship in Childcare is developing strong relationships between both parents and children, with typical job roles being a Nursery Assistant or Playgroup Assistant. Each apprenticeship programme is specific to the employer, depending on the job role. This allows for the apprentice to put childcare theory into practice that is relevant to the role they are given. Qualifications An apprenticeship programme is a Standard which can be studied at two levels: Intermediate or Advanced. It consists of a number of qualifications.
